Rockwall Jacket Athletes of the Month

Each month, the Jacket Backers, Rockwall High School’s Booster Club selects student athletes who are nominated by their coach for Jacket Athlete of the Month.  For the month of September, Madison Goellner and Jax Johnson were each nominated by their coaches and selected as Jacket Athletes of the Month.

Jax Johnson, a Senior Wide Receiver for the Jackets Varsity Football Team was nominated by Head Coach Trey Brooks.  “Jax is a phenomenal student-athlete who exemplifies what it means to be a Rockwall Yellow Jacket.  He leads by example both on the field and in the classroom.  Jax always goes above and beyond what is asked of him.  He played a key role in the Jackets first win of the season over Denton Braswell. He had 6 catches for 173 yards and a touchdown” adds Coach Brooks.

Madison Goellner, a Sophomore opposite Side Hitter for the Lady Jackets Varsity Volleyball Team was nominated by the Captains of the squad. Madison’s 98 kills makes her the early team leader on offense. “As a sophomore and first year varsity player, Madison immediately established herself as a dominant presence at the net.  She is a great teammate and is working hard to improve every day” shares Head Volleyball Coach Travis Ferguson.
